How funny - I'm looking up blue potatoes and found your post, then happened upon your Dracunculus vulgaris posting.
I love my Dracunculus! it had its best bloom this year, longer than my arm, shoulder to fingertip. I cut it down when it withers, as it's by the front door and gets unsightly. Now I see the seed spike, I'll let it be next year. Looks just like Arum italicum.
I found it amusing that we both like the same plants! Ahh, a kindred spirit!
